Detroit Wins 2013 WBI Tournament
A 45-point outburst in the second half was the story as the Detroit Titans won the 2013 Women’s Basketball Invitational (WBI) with a 73-62 victory over the McNeese State Cowgirls on Saturday afternoon on Dick Vitale Court at Calihan Hall.
Haverford College Men Set for Belgium Trip
The Haverford College men’s basketball team will partner with Sport Tours International for a week-long trip to Belgium Oct. 13-19. Haverford is taking advantage of a week long fall break on campus to travel to Europe and prepare for the 2012-13 season.
The Fords will leave Philadelphia on Oct. 13 and fly nonstop to Brussels. The group will quickly get acclimated with the city when they take a bike tour with the quirky and fun Groovy Brussels tour company. The next day Haverford will hop a train and head to the Belgian city of Bruges for a day of sightseeing.
Sport Tours and South Point Partner For Holiday Basketball Events
LAS VEGAS, NV– Basketball aficianados in Las Vegas will need to look no further than the South Point Hotel and Events Center in the coming months to get their basketball fix. The South Point, along with Sport Tours International, Inc., will be hosting over 30 men’s and women’s basketball teams from all levels in shootouts and classics during Thanksgiving and the December Holiday season.
