Al Littlejohn has been working with young people in the Detroit area and from all around Michigan for 40 years thru his Little-Ma-Power Enrichment Academy. Al’s 18U and 16U boy’s basketball teams traveled to Costa Rica from July 6-13 with Sport Tours International and enjoyed 8 days and 7 nights in one of this hemisphere’s most fascinating countries.
The teams played 7 games against teams from local clubs, toured downtown San Jose, went white water rafting on the Class 4 Pacuare River and zip-lined thru the cloud forests of the Poas Volcano. The group of 23 players and family members visited local markets, stopped by the roadside to take a walking tour of a coffee plantation and practiced in the gymnasium of Costa Rica’s oldest club.
The trip was great opportunity for the Little-Ma-Power family to play some ball, discover another culture, experience once in a lifetime excursions and learn more about themselves.
Many thanks to Al and Jami Littlejohn and all the Little-Ma-Power travelers for spending a fantastic week in Costa Rica with Sport Tours International.
Pura Vida!!
