Wittenberg University, Elizabethtown College, College of Wooster, Gettysburg College, Colby-Sawyer College, University of Dallas and the Catholic University of America were part of Week 1 from March 6-12. Stevens Institute of Technology, Bowdoin College, Oswego State University, Springfield College and Hamilton College participated in Week 2 from March 13-20.

The highlight match of the first week was Catholic vs. Gettysburg, in which the Bullets came back from 2 goals down with 38 seconds left to tie the CUA Cardinals at the end of regulation and go on to a 14-12 overtime win.

Week 2 featured a couple of hotly contested matches both involving the Bowdoin College Polar Bears. On Monday, March 15th Stevens prevailed over Bowdoin 7-4 after the teams were tied 4-4 for much of the second half. Two days later Bowdoin and Hamilton played 58 minutes of back and forth action before Hamilton broke an 11-11 tie and, ultimately, won the match 13-11.

ATTACK 2010 once again concentrated on allowing the coaches to focus on their teams while Sport Tours’ staff handled all the logistics for the event. Volunteers, trainers and umpires all contributed to a successful 2 weeks in beautiful San Antonio.

Teams visited Sea World, Six Flags Texas and Canyon Lake during their stays, as well as spending time on San Antonio’s fantastic River Walk. All 12 schools stayed at the Residence Inn/Alamo Plaza which is centrally located in downtown San Antonio just a short walk from all of this great city’s attractions.

Sport Tours wishes to thank all the coaches, teams, umpires and volunteers who made ATTACK 2010 such a great success. Plans are already underway for ATTACK 2011 which promises another great lacrosse spring break in San Antonio.
