ABOUT SAN ANTONIO

San Antonio is the second largest city in Texas and the seventh largest city in the United States. Located in the northern part of South Texas, the city is the cultural gateway to the American Southwest.

Famous for the Alamo, its River Walk ( www.thesanantonioriverwalk.com ), Tejano Culture and the home of SeaWorld San Antonio and Six Flags Texas Theme Parks, the city is visited by 20 million tourists each year. San Antonio has hosted the NCAA Men’s Basketball Final Four three times and will host the Women’s Final Four in April of 2010.

Attack 2009 participants will stay within a few minutes walk of the Alamo and the beautiful River Walk. The River Walk, which meanders through downtown, is lined with numerous shops and restaurants and there are fascinating and informative re-enactments at the Alamo on the weekends. Five of our 2009 teams spent an afternoon at Sea World and had a fabulous time.

The weather in March is delightful. Average high temperature is 74 (F) and the average low is 50 (F). Average rainfall in March is a scant 1.6 inches.
